New Addition, More Honors Bestowed to 17U Elite Squad from High School Season
The Urban ASAK Elite 17U basketball team is getting stronger week-by-week as evidenced the recent addition of 6-foot-6 junior Devyn Brewton of Killeen Shoemaker to the squad.
Brewton, projected as a shooting guard or small forward as the next level, was a key factor, along with Urban ASAK Elite 17U teammate Antoine Xavier James, in Shoemaker’s 36-3 season. Brewton has started on the school’s varsity team since he was a freshman, and was second-team all district this season as was James.
As mentioned in last week’s post, we promised to update our fans on the latest individual honors for our team.
Vista Ridge point guard Aaron Gregg (2017), who was named not only all district, but all region for Class 5A. He joins his Urban ASAK Elite 17U teammates, Class 6A Westlake sophomores Brock Cunningham and Luke Pluymen, in receiving that prestigious honor.
