Urban ASAK forward Brock Cunningham picked up an offer from Shaka Smart and the Texas coaching staff Wednesday.
Smart and assistant coach Mike Morrell were both in attendance at the adidas Gauntlet in Dallas last weekend, and saw enough to finally pull the trigger on extending a scholarship offer to the Westlake product.
Cunningham has been tearing through the Gauntlet, averaging 23.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game, the second-most in both categories out of all participating players.
Cunningham’s recruitment will continue to heat up as the summer progresses, and it’ll be interesting to see which other schools take notice of the premier forward’s abilities. Urban ASAK is in Atlanta this weekend for the second weekend of the adidas Gauntlet, and will face off against Stackhouse Elite, D1 Minnesota, Texas Pro, and Game Elite.
